Rushden & Higham RUFC
Sharnbrook & Colworth RFC

Just a double bill at Rushden as their first team game was called off, their Colts celebrated a strong win against Biggleswade.

A strong start from the home side with a breakaway try after a couple of unfortunate missed tackles from ‘brook. A 15 minute period of some good competitive rugby with the home side converting a couple of penalties, shortly followed by a Sharnbrook set piece try from a 5m lineout and drive across the line.

Another try from the home side off the back of a 180 degree scrum evading the attempted Sharnbrook tackles from the defending 22.

Half time and it’s Sharnbrook turn to receive from kick off followed by a great uninterrupted piece of rugby led by new player Fredrick Linsley, Tom Goy & try finished off by Hooker Kieran Bonas.

A yellow card for ‘brook made a tough spell defensively but SCRUFC remained strong held on to keep the home side at bay until some foul play lead to a red card for both sides.

Last 10 minutes and nothing on the scoreboard with both sides at 14 men both sides (coincidently) losing a forward due to injury to the ankle.

Some great midfield play from both side the remaining few moments of the game, but no score.

Full time was called with the home side taking the win.
